How reimbursement works (please check back)

Insurance companies have a lot of control. They can decide what treatment you get, which providers you can see, and how much you'll pay. That’s why I choose not to work directly with insurance companies.

Instead, I have a standard rate, but I also make use of something called 'out-of-network benefits'—which means your insurance may still help pay for my services, even if I don’t work directly with them. The office provides you with an insurance form and invoice. You 'upload' this information to your insurance company and they refund you what is owed (usually about 80% of total costs, minus annual deductible).
